Improving Outcomes for Anger Management Participants: CBT Training for Facilitators

Interactive training provides guided instruction, case vignettes, and video exercises to help participants facilitate Coping with Anger groups, process exercises, and apply CBT principles that support healthier anger management. Participants will learn to:

  • Define anger and understand its role in daily life.
  • Explain the arousal cycle of anger.
  • Recognize biological responses, including effects on the brain.
  • Identify distinct types of anger.
  • Explore the connection between anger, mental health, and substance use disorders.
  • Teach emotional regulation and coping strategies (including breathing techniques)
  • Define and discuss defense mechanisms.

  • Overview: 2-day, 16-hour interactive training
  • Dates/Time:
    •  Thursday (11/13/25) – Friday (11/14/25) |  9:00 am – 5:00 pm CST

Format: Online, fully interactive (webcam & microphone required)

 

Audience: This training is open to all professionals—no clinical backgrounds required. Ideal for individuals working in: Mental health, Education, Healthcare, Criminal justice, Veteran services, and Community-based organizations.

 

Logistics:

  • 1.6 CEUs offered.
  • Coping with Anger workbook + facilitator’s guide + handouts
  • Certificate of Completion (5–7 business days post-training)
  • Registration & payment due by November 6th, 2025, to ensure prompt delivery of training materials.
  • A CCI Training Agreement must be completed to receive certification.
