Interactive training provides guided instruction, case vignettes, and video exercises to help participants facilitate groups using the Coping with Anger workbook, process exercises, and apply CBT principles that support healthier anger management.
Learning Objectives:
- Define anger and understand its role in daily life
- Explain the arousal cycle of anger
- Recognize biological responses, including effects on the brain
- Identify distinct types of anger
- Explore the connection between anger, mental health, and substance use disorders
- Teach emotional regulation and coping strategies (including breathing techniques)
- Define and discuss defense mechanisms
